Secure transport in Florida
- Do you have armed guards or armored trucks?
- No. We are not a licensed security agency. Security here comes from procedure and discretion — an unmarked vehicle, two attendants, and a record signed before anything moves.
- When should I use an armored carrier instead?
- Very high declared values, anything crossing a state line, and any cargo that genuinely warrants an armed escort. We will tell you that on the call rather than take the job.
- How is my property insured in transit?
- Coverage is arranged and confirmed in writing before each move, against a value you declare. We do not publish a blanket figure because it would be meaningless without your inventory.
- Will my homeowner policy cover it?
- Off-premises limits are commonly far lower than people expect, particularly for jewelry. Check yours before the move — it takes ten minutes and it changes decisions.
- What if I drive it myself?
- Your auto policy almost certainly excludes property in transit. If the property is your own and uncontested, driving it is a reasonable choice — just check the policy first.
- How far ahead do I need to book?
- A week is comfortable. Buildings with a service lift need more. May and October fill up across all of South Florida, so book those months well in advance.
- Can you come today?
- Rarely, and we would rather say so than promise it. A collection includes an inventory, and rushing that removes the reason for doing it.
- Do you travel out of state?
- No. Florida only. Interstate movement belongs with a carrier licensed and set up for it.
- Is my load mixed with anyone else's?
- No. One client per run, no consolidation, and no other collections on the same trip.
- Can I follow the vehicle?
- Yes, and clients often do. You can watch the property go into the vault.
- Who makes the inventory?
- You do, with two of our attendants as witnesses, before anything is wrapped or sealed. You keep a copy in your hand before we leave the room.
- Do you value or appraise anything?
- No. We describe what we see. Valuation is your appraiser's job and we have no view on it.
- What happens at the vault?
- Seals are checked against your copy, countersigned, and the property goes into a 9R-rated vault behind two 14,000-pound doors. You are welcome to be there.
- Is the vault a bank?
- No. It is a private facility. Not a bank, no deposits, and contents are not FDIC insured. Contents coverage is arranged separately through Lloyd's of London.
- Can I store anonymously?
- No. Every client is identified and every access event is recorded. We do not offer off-book arrangements and would decline the request.
- Do you honour subpoenas and court orders?
- Yes, and we publish that position so counsel and executors do not have to ask.
- What will you refuse to move?
- Firearms, controlled substances, hazardous materials, live animals, whole households, contested property, and anything we are asked to keep off the record.
- How much does it cost?
- Quoted per job — distance, size of load, and how long the collection takes. You get the figure before the day, not after it.
