What the structure is
- 9R rating — the highest UL vault structure rating available, and the standard the Federal Reserve builds to.
- Two 14,000-pound doors — John Tann, imported from England, forming a waterproof and airtight seal.
- Rated above 250 mph — sustained wind, and sited above the flood plain.
- Man-trap entry — nobody passes through both doors at once.
- Modelled on Bank Hauser, Basel — the Swiss private vault the facility was designed after.
- Since 1983 — family owned and operated, with zero security incidents in more than forty years.

What it is not
It is not a bank. Florida Intervault does not take deposits, does not lend, and offers no banking service of any kind. Stored contents are not FDIC insured — no vault contents anywhere are, including in a bank branch. Contents coverage is available separately through Lloyd's of London and is arranged with you rather than assumed.
What it costs
Storage after the move
Box rental runs from $795 a year for the smallest box (3×5×24) to $12,500 for the largest (30×15×24), with monthly at one tenth of the annual figure. Bulk items, art and irregular loads are quoted separately because they occupy space rather than a box. Seasonal storage — May to November — is a single arrangement rather than a monthly negotiation.

- Can I see it before I commit?
- Yes. Tours are private and by appointment, and no account relationship is required to visit. Most people decide once they have seen the doors.
- Is it a bank?
- No. Florida Intervault is a private vault facility. It does not take deposits, lend, or offer any banking service, and contents are not FDIC insured.
- Do you look inside what I store?
- No. We are a custodian. Sealed containers stay sealed unless you ask us to open one, and then in your presence.
- Who can access my property?
- You, and anyone you name in writing. Changing that list is a documented event, not a phone call.
- What are the storage costs?
- Box rental runs from $795 a year for the smallest size to $12,500 for the largest. Monthly is the annual figure divided by ten. Bulk and irregular items are quoted separately.
- Do you honour subpoenas?
- Yes, and we publish that position. See legal process.
