Collections from Brickell & Downtown Miami
High-rise collections, which means the loading dock and the service elevator decide the schedule rather than the traffic. Most Brickell towers require a certificate of insurance filed with building management days in advance and will only release the service lift in a booked window — we handle that paperwork, but it is why a Brickell collection is booked a week out and a house is not.

How this route runs
The drive
- Time each way
- 45–75 min
- Road
- I-95 south
- Destination
- 3562 N Ocean Blvd, Fort Lauderdale — Galt Ocean Mile
- Stops en route
- None. The vehicle is not left unattended at any point.
Before the day
- Tell us roughly what is moving. A list helps; it is not required to book.
- For a building, we need the management contact — most want a certificate of insurance filed in advance.
- For a gated community, arrange the gate authorization. A vehicle turned away wastes the morning.
- For an estate, have the documented authority to hand before we arrive.
- Allow time for the inventory. It is the part that protects you and the part people rush.
Conditions
What the drive from Brickell & Downtown Miami is actually like
South on I-95 through the densest stretch of the corridor. The distance is unremarkable and the timing is not — Brickell traffic makes arrival windows wide rather than precise, and we plan runs outside peak in both directions where the schedule allows. The last mile is the slow part: one-way streets, constant construction and very little kerbside room mean the final few blocks can take as long as the drive down.
Access
Arriving in Brickell & Downtown Miami
Almost every Brickell address is a tower with a managed loading dock, and the dock is the constraint. Buildings here typically want a certificate of insurance filed in advance, a booked service elevator, and a dock slot that is not open all day. Give us the management contact when you book. A vehicle that arrives without a reserved bay does not get closer than the street, which for this kind of cargo is not somewhere to wait.

Common questions
- How long is the drive from Brickell & Downtown Miami?
- 45–75 min each way, via I-95 south, before season traffic. We quote the honest figure rather than the optimistic one, because the schedule for the day depends on it.
- How far ahead should we book?
- A week is comfortable for most collections. May and October fill up across the whole of South Florida, and a building with a bookable loading dock will usually need more notice than a house.
- Does the property travel with anyone else's?
- No. Your load is not consolidated with another client's, and there are no other collections on the same run.
- Can we follow the vehicle?
- Yes. Clients regularly drive down behind us and watch the property go into the vault. Nobody has ever been told no.
- Do you charge by distance?
- Distance is part of it, along with the size of the load and how long the collection itself takes. You get a figure before the day, not after.

Coral Gables
Older single-family houses on narrow, banyan-shaded streets with strict tree and parking rules. A vehicle cannot always get close to the door, so a Gables collection is planned around where we can legally stand, and that is worth a phone call before the day rather than a surprise on it.

Miami Beach & Surfside
Causeway-dependent and, from Surfside north, largely mid-rise condominium. Since 2021 the building-access rules here have tightened considerably, and management offices are noticeably more careful about who is allowed a service lift — expect to be asked for documentation that a house never requires.

One causeway on and off the island, with a toll and a single point of failure. When a storm is forecast the Rickenbacker is exactly where everyone is at once, so Key Biscayne is the one market where we insist on booking well ahead of a cone rather than during it.
