What the drive from Fort Lauderdale is actually like
The shortest route on the list and the one people most often assume is trivial. It is not, for one reason: drawbridges. The New River and Intracoastal crossings open on schedule for marine traffic, and a single opening can add ten minutes to a fifteen-minute drive. We route around the bridges where the destination allows and build the delay in where it does not.

The waterfront properties are the interesting ones: several are more easily reached from the water than the street, and dockside collection is a normal arrangement here rather than an unusual request.

- How long is the drive from Fort Lauderdale?

- How far ahead should we book?
- A week is comfortable for most collections. May and October fill up across the whole of South Florida, and a building with a bookable loading dock will usually need more notice than a house.
- Does the property travel with anyone else's?
- No. Your load is not consolidated with another client's, and there are no other collections on the same run.
- Can we follow the vehicle?
- Yes. Clients regularly drive down behind us and watch the property go into the vault. Nobody has ever been told no.
- Do you charge by distance?
- Distance is part of it, along with the size of the load and how long the collection itself takes. You get a figure before the day, not after.
